The China Virus

The China Virus, as our ex-president Donald Trump so elegantly called it in one of his speeches, was a murderer. A murderer in the sense that it murdered not only many people around the world but also the worlds capability to function as we normally did. It shut down the planet on a scale so large that no one could even fathom it. It’s hard to even describe the way that it effected us as a species. Lockdowns, masks and social distancing quickly became the new norm for our society. No one knew when it would ever end, if it would end at all, we all so desperately wanted to be free again and have our old lives back from this thing. The virus was a war. A war that we lost for a long time, a war that effected the lives of millions in such a way that it gave a lot of people less hope for the future. But we stood strong, as we as a species always try to do. Sometimes we succeed in standing strong, other times not. But this virus was one thing that we weren’t going to let stand in our way. People worked countless hours to try and figure out a way to stop this thing and end the war that it had put upon us.
